Sable Island has an abundance of Migratory Wild Birds, that nest here annually. The most notable example is the Roseate Tern, which is an endangered species. The other most noteworthy bird associated with the
Graveyard of the Atlantic, is the Ipswich Sparrow, which is a permanent resident on Sable Island, year round.
